This event takes place from 12pm to 5pm on Sundays, in Toronto, Montréal & now Ottawa, with the exception of long weekends and dates when Shopify has internal events;
e.g. Black Friday Cyber Monday weekend.

New spots for the upcoming Builder Sunday are released on our site at 12 PM ET on the previous Wednesday each week.

If you are under 18, you need a parent/guardian with you. Have them sign up and accompany you on the Sunday.

Note that photography, filming, and recording may occur during Builder Sundays. By obtaining a ticket and/or attending, you consent to the potential use of such media by Shopify and other participants for promotional and other purposes.

Know before you go

Be sure to sign up first, above, and register for the dates you're joining us.

Essentials to bring: government-issued ID, laptop, chargers/adapters, water bottle.

Food and drink: you'll have access to our snacks and drinks, like coffee/tea, but feel free to bring your lunch. We kindly ask that you help us keep our space tidy by cleaning up after yourselves. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Event Time: Drop in anytime between 12-5pm. We suggest deep work until 4pm, then mingle in common areas to connect with like-minded builders.

Demo Time: We will have open demos 3:30-4:30pm, followed by networking until 5pm.

Need help? Security staff and Shopify employees will be onsite throughout the event.

Getting there

  • Toronto

    Our office at 620 King West W. is easily accessible via public transportation; closest TTC stop is Portland and King West.

    There's no parking available onsite, but there are many options around. impark at 621 King St. W. is the closest.

    Entering the building:

    Enter via the Shopify lobby at the West entrance of the building, right next to the Dasha restaurant; then, sign in at the front desk and take the elevators to floor 10.

  • Montréal

    Our office at 490 rue De La Gauchetière O. is easily accessible via public transportation; closest métro stop is Square Victoria-OACI on the orange line.

    There's no parking available onsite, but there are many options around. Indigo at 500 blvd. René-Lévesque O. is the closest.

    Entering the building:

    Our office is connected to the Air Canada Tower, but its entrances will be locked over the weekend, so you must enter via our street entrance at 490 rue De La Gauchetière O.; go through the wooden and glass doors, head up the stairs, and sign in at the front desk.

  • Ottawa

    Our office at 151 O’Connor St. is easily accessible via public transportation; closest O-Train stop is Parliament/Parlement.
    There's no parking available onsite, but there are many options around. Capital Parking at 138 Gloucester St is the closest outdoor lot.

    Entering the building:

    Enter via the Shopify lobby at the West entrance of the building; then, sign in at the front desk and take the elevators to floor 2.

FAQs

What if all the spots are full and I want to bring a guest?

All attendees—including guests—must sign up individually.

If spots are full, keep an eye out for last-minute openings closer to the date, as cancellations do happen.

Can I attend without having registered?

No. We release a limited amount of tickets per date given our space capacity.

How can I cancel my ticket for a specific date?

You can reschedule or cancel your booking using the link in your confirmation email (subject: "Thank you for signing up for Builder Sundays!")

Can I bring my pet to Builder Sundays?

No, our offices do not allow pets.

Will more dates be added?

Yes, new spots are now released weekly on Wednesdays at 12:00 PM ET for the following Sunday, with the exception of long weekends or when Shopify have internal events; e.g. Black Friday Cyber Monday.

How do I sign up for demos?

You'll be able to sign up for demo spots upon arrival on a first come first served basis. You can't sign up in advance; this guarantees only those who are present sign up for demos.
